Gin FilterA Poem by IComeAnonWWHD (What would Hemingway do?)I am shaped like a Martini glass
With a big head funneled through a Small mouth, (And the dirt and bitters settling there) Set on a Thin, meek body, (Too small to support the dry thoughts up there) Set on a Boring, common base, (Looking like every other glass's base, no matter how abstract the flavors up there)--
And that's enough reason to drink.
The more I drink, the more I see My head is the olive, salty and sweet, My shoulders are broad, my chest is strong, (My heart is salty sweet) My waist was made for a simple finger's grip, And my base is sturdy enough-- I stand. I stand-- I pour another drink. © 2010 IComeAnon |
