What remains

What remains

A Poem by roamingraven

Outside the inside,it is nothing more then vapours and vortexes of increasing darkness. Everlasting emptiness like an abandoned stomach calling, craving the nourishment that soothes that hollowness that gnaws. A ocean that's still and stagnant, a starless universe above land below barren and bare.
Somewhere here beyond a jungle twisted with dead ends and thorns, within a vipers nest a key to a door.
Deep beneath a derelict dwelling in a forgotten dungeon a baby cries.
