Love is Just a Word

Here’s the next chapter.

I know I said 5 comments but I was tired of studying so I decided to go ahead and write the next chapter. So here you go.

Chapter 2

Alex’s POV

After cleaning up all the blood and putting on a long-sleeve shirt I walk over to greet our new neighbors.

“Hello.” I said quietly to the boy as he was getting a box out of the truck.

“Oh hi.” He reply’s, smiling. “Are you our neighbor?”

I nod. I reach out my hand. “My names Alex.”

“Hi Alex, mines Winter.” He smiles, but his smile turns to a frown when the sleeve of my shirts rides up and reveals my cuts. “Oh.” He hesitates. I pull my hand away and pull my sleeve down. “Um, why do you cut?”

            “Um…”

“You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”

“Thanks.” I give a small smile. “Maybe if we become friends I’ll tell you.”

            He nods.

“I’m guessing you won’t tell me about your scars either right now?” Yeah I noticed under his tattoos there are scars. He has ‘Stay’ on one wrist, and ‘Strong’ on the other.

He nods again a bit sadder.

“Umm, do you guys want some help with the unpacking?”

“Um, sure.” He responds a bit happier. His parents decide to come outside at that point.

            “Oh hello.” The mom says.

“Hello ma’am. My name’s Alex and I am your neighbor.” I say feeling a bit more comfortable with them. Maybe this boy can help me.

Winter’s POV

After seeing Alex’s scars I wasn’t sure what to think. Does he have a hard time like I do? Maybe we can help each other out.

I also got to wonder if he’s gay because he’s pretty good looking. Well he probably could be. I mean it looks like he hasn’t eaten in days, he has bags under his eyes, and his used to be dyed hair has faded and grown out miserably. I wonder what made him to be like this and he most likely wonders the same thing about my scars. I smile as I push a box into his arms. He just stares at me as I grab another and walk into the house.

That’s all for this chapter. Sorry it’s so short.

Winter? I'll let that slide. So far though, I'm more into your writing style than the story. It's just something nice to read that doesnt over complicate
