Dissipate//Elliminate//Recreate ( end of chapter 2 and chapter 3)A Chapter by TwoTailedTabbyA new group, formed into a new family. Their group is ready to begin their journey...
Peter took a deep breath and open the door slowly, not surprised when no one confronted him. They were probably asleep. He had been gone for about an hour and they were tired from being attacked by Abbey.
It complicated his plan though he desperately wanted them to know who Moi was before they went to sleep. If he were to let Moi sleep here they would wake up before him and find a stranger.
He thought for a moment, thinking if he should wake them up or led Moi back to his hut, unfortunately while he was trapped in his thoughts Moirc’s curiosity got the best of him and he wandered off into the house.
Moirc walked into the bedroom where he saw five people. He stared at them for a moment examining them with his eyes, watching as the five slept peacefully. He knew that they all had powers but Maxii was good, he was safe. He would not drain Maxii because Maxii was a friend of Peter and Peter was a good friend. Maxii was good because Peter was good. The others though, they were a threat; just like the others.
‘It’s okay, they are…nice. They won’t attack you without a reason like those others, plus Maxii is going to be there…’ Moirc remembered the reluctant face when Peter said that. Moirc did not believe in Peter’s thought and he growled softly as he looked at the four he was planning to attack. Peter was lying to him and he knew it. “Thra-ett” Moirc said softly, incorrectly saying the word. “Theer-et” He sighed to himself, giving up on saying it right.
“Threat.” Peter said, coming up from behind him. “They are not threats, Moi, I promise.”
“Li-er” Moi said softly, shaking his head slowly. “Ther-ah-etts, because they going to try to hurt Moirc.”
“They won’t hurt you, they are different. I promise! Trust me. Trust me…” He softly placed his hand on top of his head and sighed. “We will sleep in the bigger rooms by the front door, okay?” Moirc nodded and walked passed him, lying down on the carpeted floor.
“Gud night.” Moirc whispered.
“Good night.” Peter answered back.
CHAPTER THREE
The morning came quicker than expected. It came quicker than all of them wanted to. Peter tried to wake up quick enough before the others unfortunately he failed in doing so. His body turned out to be extremely fatigued and he could not wake himself up in time before the others.
“Maxii…who is that..?” this voice…so familiar…who?
“I’m not sure. He is very close to Peter though…” Maxii, who are you talking about? “Th-ther-ah-ets…” Moi? Why is…? Oh...no.
Peter sat up suddenly, getting a few surprised gasps. His eyes were wide and his face was sweaty as he looked from side to side to see what was happening. Once he was strange looks he was getting he, smiled nervously and uttered a small. “Good morning.”
“Afternoon.” Lily corrected. She was sitting beside Moirc and playing with his long hair. Moirc seemed to be enjoying this as he was closing his eyes in content and smiling.
“I see you all have met Moirc.” Peter frowned, afraid that he would not be able to bring Moirc.
“I spoke with them on your behalf.” Datara said suddenly, making Peter snap his head up in surprise. His eyes narrowed slowly when he thought of what he could have told them. “Don’t worry. I didn’t say anything you wouldn’t have wanted me to say.” Peter did not relax. “I simply told them you wanted to bring him with us.”
“Well?” Peter urged, glancing quickly at Moirc who was reaching up to play with Lily’s hair now.
“Everyone seems okay with it.”
Peter let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding and let his shoulder slump. He looked towards Maxii who was staring at him with an emotionless gaze he didn’t seem to realize Peter was staring at him. His red eyes shifted to look at Moirc and his eyes narrowed. Peter was confused at what Maxii was thinking but decided not to think about it too much right after he had relaxed. Peter then stared at Caleb who was just now entering the room. His eyes were half-lidded and blinded with sleep.
“Mronghfg….” He grumbled softly, softly rubbing his right eyes with the back of his hand. He let out a huge yawn and sunk to the floor, laying his head onto the wall. In a matter of seconds he was sleep again.
“He still hasn’t gotten use to the sleeping thing yet…” Datara stated to himself aloud, while staring at Caleb. He then turned back to Peter. “We were waiting for you, if you have nothing else to do here, we are leaving.”
Peter thought for a moment. He had no other connection with this place besides Moirc, who he was taking with him. “I have everything.”
Lily leaned onto the wall next to her and spoke. “Now, regularly, we would just…teleport?” She paused quickly, but it was noticeable to only Peter. “—to the place we want to go, but…” She stared at Peter. “Now, you three are a part of our group, it wouldn’t be smart to go without you.”
“So, what do you suggest we do?” Datara spoke, squatting near Caleb and slowly poking his cheek.
“We are going to just have to…walk.” Lily said smiling.
“Caleb isn’t going to like that.” Demetri whined, squirming. “Maybe we could divide our group so that part of our family is with part of theirs!” Demetri offered quickly, his eyes scanning for reactions.
“What happens if one of our groups gets caught by the Order?” Maxii asked, his crimson eyes staring at the ceiling.
“That is why we have a part of our family with the other group. That way conflicts will be safer.” Demetri answered proudly.
Datara sighed and sat on the ground, pulling something out of his pocket. It was a tattered roll of paper. He unrolled it onto the floor to reveal that it was a map.
“We want to be here…” He said softly, pointing at a red dot. “-but at the moment we are…here.” He sighed, moving his index finger all the way over to the right. “On the way there are many other small cities, as you can see.” He circled over many small dots between the first 2 red ones.
The closest city from here that we can go to is…here.” Demetri crawled over to the map, staring at where he pointed.
“This is where one of our bases are, so we won’t be caught there.” Demetri nodded. “I want to make sure it is still, safe to be there. I am willing to go with Caleb.” Datara nodded and then disappeared. Leaving without telling anyone about his vote on where he was going.
Lily groaned, shaking her head and rubbing her temples. “Okay then…that means I’m with you three.” She turned to Demetri. “Smack Datara for me, leaving without telling anyone, he is just annoying sometimes….”
Demetri smiled and held Caleb’s limp hand. “Good bye!” Then they both disappeared.
Lily turned towards Maxii. “Now, since it will take more than a day to get there…shouldn’t we stock up on supplies?” Maxii and Peter nodded. “Glad you agree. Now do any of you have money?”
“You’re broke…?” Peter asked aloud.
“--of course! I’m not used to your way of traveling.” She smiled her eyes almost closing. “Anyways~ where is your money?”
“We never got paid at the order.” Peter said.
“….I did.” Maxii said, pulling out his wallet. “They didn’t think you were responsible enough to earn pay.” Maxii stared at Lily, obviously trying not to make eye contact with Peter.
“What else did they think I shouldn’t do?” Peter asked darkly, his eyes narrowing, but Maxii couldn’t see.
Maxii looked up quickly only to quickly avert his eyes to Lily’s face. “Wh-when are we going to go?” He asked quickly, feeling the force of his glare.
“Once we get the supplies we can go.” She quickly stared between the two and sighed. “I volunteer to go and get the supplies. No objections!” She yelled right after, sprinting to the door and escaping.
Maxii tensed completely, ceasing all movement. He slowly moved his head to the side slightly, flinching back when he noticed Peter was still glaring at him, unblinking.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” He said suddenly. “It...It was a rule. We weren’t supposed to tell you. They never told us why, they did not want you to know about anything.”
“Anything…?” Peter whispered. “Is that supposed to mean all I know is a lie?”
Maxii looked at his foot, once again avoiding eye contact. “….not everything, a bit of it was true.”
Peter was silent.
The air was getting uncomfortable around the two boys as the silence continued. Maxii desperately wanted to end the uncomfortable conversation with a gentle apology or a calming conversation but he couldn’t find the proper words to make Peter want to speak with him. He kept glancing over at his younger partner who was sulking with his head hung down.
“Peter…” Maxii finally said, trying to start a conversation.
“I don’t want to talk right now.” Peter said impassively, not looking up from the floor.
So Maxii settled for saying nothing, as they sat in the uncomfortable silence that kept emotions bottled up within and nurtured them until they were unbearably huge.
It seemed as if the room would burst with the tension ascending but then…
“PE-TAH!” Moirc howled suddenly, making both Peter and Maxii jolt up from the sudden noise. Moirc quickly moved his hands to Peter’s face and stared into his eyes. “Your face is sad. Why?”
Peter smiled softly. “I’m not sad.”
Moirc frowned and let his hands fall off of Peters face. “You lie to me. Peter is very sad right now.”
Peter sighed and let his eyes roll to the corner of his vision to stare darkly at Maxii. Maxii flinched but didn’t seem to notice the glare. “Maxii, you like him don’t you?” Maxii’s head turned slightly, Peter wasn’t trying to be quiet about this.
Moirc nodded feverishly and stared curiously at him.
“He lied to me for a very, very long time just like all of the other mindless drones of Order.” Peter hissed darkly, his eyes no longer looking at Moirc.
“Pe….tah?” The short boy asked uncertainly, worried about why his friend was acting this way. He slowly turned his head towards Maxii and closed his eyes. He could sense something different about Peter and he wanted to know what it was; he did not like the way he was acting.
He remembered times where Peter would come to him about arguments and fights he had been experienced with Maxii and he had never acted this way. At least…not in front of him. He always seemed careful to appear calm in front of him, even though he could tell easily if he was distressed or not.
