If I were to die

If I were to die

A Poem by Eduardo Reyes

If I were to die,
I plead once,
Clean the tears dry.
From earth i bounce,
Speak to St. Peter,
Let me stay at Heaven Inns,
Send God a letter,
Forgive my sins.

Ran my life, held the reins,
Life, I ain't no cheater.
Curse my soul, i've sinned,
Over filled with regret.
My forgiveness i've lent,
Actions shot from a berret.
Love to God, my heart enriched,
Body encased 6 feet under,
My promises i ditched.

Bestow me with forgiveness,
My soul pleads.
