Snowy day

Snowy day

A Poem by Emmy

Its a cold day
Crisp, clear, chilled
The wind howls a mournful song
The clouds huddle near
The flakes dance down
They coat the ground
In a soft, white layer
Of bliss and joy

Perch by the fire
Wrapped in a warm blanket
Crackle, snap, pop
The flames eat the branch
On the cool winter day
In the snowy redwood forest

Trees stand near
Keeping watch
Acting as guardians
To ward off any evil
Or any harm to come
Safe and sound
Alone, left in peace.

I like winter alot, and feel purified by rain and snow, gift from God, I would say. the poem flew easily in my mind , and could imagine the plac easily. I also well felt the tranquality and equillibrium around the place, I too consider trees as guardians, great imagery there by the way. very good and best luck.
