My "special someone" cheated, and I was inspired to write this.

I never knew someone
Could be so heartless
So careless
As to give you their heart
Then give it to another too
To draw you in
To trap you
Then deny it
He had me at hello
But left me at goodbye
They don't have words
For the hurt I have inside

Every poem is a window into the authors heart one way or another, but this one is particularly clear. You convey the pain of loss, of betrayal, of being deceived and so much, much more. The last two lines ring true. Your words only offer a glimpse of your hurt, but that glimpse and the way you portray it is powerful and wonderfully written. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks you! Letting your words out through poetry is the best way to relieve stress in my opinion. The best part is this poem is luckly old, and I've learned to move on from my loss, and I feel it has helped me see people in new ways.
