A Fisherman's DaughterA Poem by RiverdanceA childhood of fishing---Dad and DaughterThrowing pebbles and tying string A silver rod and silver fish All in hopes of a meal to bring Held by only just a wish.
The calm clear coat of watered docks Quite unblemished by wind or life A bright red cork and tackle box Dad and daughter with lack of strife.
The game of fishing is silent A bait impelled in a cloaked world Daddy's girl in full agreement A cheerful day gladly unfurled. © 2009 RiverdanceAuthor's Note
