Unendless LoveA Poem by RiverdanceNot even death can separate the truest of loves. Inspired from a Charles Martin novel, "Where the River Ends"---perspective of a man losing his wife to cancer.Though time moved on I stayed behind Rewinding thoughts still fresh in mind I know you doubt the choice we made But love like this won't ever fade
For many months our path was one A time of life, of love, of fun Your hand in mine felt always right And all those times long through the night
Through all the dark you stood by me Supporting all I hoped to be Yet nothing ever made you weak
Relaxing smell you'd always wear Entrancing smile and curly hair Your warm embrace and tender kiss Of everything it's these I'll miss
Your steady arms around my waist In endless time I feel no haste For life goes on; it knows no race And love can flow without a trace
So many things words can't express Don't make these feelings any less I'll always have a place for you Beneath it all, you know it's true. © 2008 RiverdanceAuthor's Note
