In Faith AloneA Poem by RiverdanceIn faith alone This trust I place All in the unseen aura That fills the empty void Within my weary soul
In faith alone My hands are searching Holding forth wrinkled palms Allowing the cool rain To dribble over them
In faith alone Confidence is found An answer to all once sought The strongest tower of love Shielding this tender heart
In fath alone Above all unseen The strongest ties are found Across eternity For the most powerful of all
In faith alone
Without sight, I see Without sound, I hear Without touch, I feel Without proof, I believe
You can't see sadness, can you? But you can see a tear And you know sorrow Is that hard, cold handcuff That binds you through and through
You can't see happiness, can you? But you can see a smile A bright beacon of hope Illuminating the darkest of tunnels That stretches from cheek to cheek
You can't see love, can you? But you can see two hands entwined As a couple saunters through the street With heads bent close sharing whispers That tells of all things dear
In faith alone This trust I place For I know it's real Just as I know Sadness, Happiness, and Love Are all real
