In Your Hands

In Your Hands

A Poem by Riverdance
"

All it takes is a little Faith

"

How can you be so patient

With a world that never sleeps?

Everything an idol

The Lord unknown, unseen.

"Fear not for I am with you"

The book Isaiah claims.

My Jesus, Lord and Savior

My soul---for you to keep.

You always listen to me

Holding out your hand

And though I hardly stop to pray

You're still waiting, still patient

Arms held open, held wide open

Always there to help me on my way

Through the ever growing darkness

I feel your hand in mine

And though I can not find my way

You keep me on my path

The only little light and a whole dark world.

A flickering flame flying for me

Keeping me going

You won't let me stumble

I'll never fall again

The ground is gone forever

You've given me your wings.

A very realistic look on what true faith means today; Not the blind faith of a room full of light but the realization that it is a candle in the darkness; meant to help and guide, not overtake everything. Although it will flicker throughout your life, I'm glad you have the strength to convey your belief. I hope it continues to grow throughout your life.

When I was a little girl in Sunday school we learned a song called 'This little light of mine'. And we sang about letting our light shine. As children we knew more about faith and light than the adult mind can grasp. Your poem is a blessing.

You likely will stumble again, when you least expect it... but He will still be there to help you up, dust you off, and send you on your way. He is an amazing and wonderful friend!
Thank you for this piece.
Merry Christmas!
