Someday

Someday

A Poem by RivaRazdan

Pockets of sky
dare me to reach them.
To make use of my limbs
and climb to the clouds.

But something holds me back,
something weighs me down.
An anchor tied to my heart
pinions me to the ground.

Is it love or fear
that constrains my flight?
or my innate vulnerability
and lack of fight.

Mulling over matters
does not seem to help.
It is time for proud action
not cowardly stealth.

To break free these shackles
and welcome good health.
To wander unknown lands
and fall in love again.
