Sossegado

Sossegado

A Poem by RivaRazdan

Searching frantically for respite.
Just a peak of dappled sunlight.
A splash of azure water
And salty ocean mist.
Soothing acoustic melodies
And lands that are sun-kissed.
However one must respect the sands of time,
Plod on through grit and grime.
Apply balm to fresh wounds each night and pray
that they may heal in the harsh light of day.
Biding my time, these scars will fade.
There will come a season's change.
Plump Mangoes and Frangipanis will bloom.
There will be light and hope and so much room.
Molecules of happiness wafting in my wake,
A journey I will undertake.
Cobbled pathways, winding roads,
Hoping these will lead me home.
