Fate

Fate

A Poem by Ritanshu Sharma

Down and dusted, fate had me all busted

Felt like my life had become like an iron rod that is all rusted.

The life stopped, nothing seemed to work for me

Pain and suffering is all I could feel and see.

Suddenly this wonderful person comes running into my life

Filled up the empty dots which were bruised by nothing but knives

What seemed like walking on an uneven and damaged roadway

Suddenly became so easy as she held my hand and said a simple “hey”

A wonderful creation of God, she is creative with her own style

The best picture I have of her is her big chubby smile.

Did I mention that she totally hates Dr. Blitz?

Who enters through the backdoor to say hello to this miss.

What I have learnt from you is very simple for me to say

It’s just to be true to be yourself and to live life the natural way.

While people in our lives may come and may go

I pray we stay together and just go with the flow.
