from city to city he’d switch

the poor bot has hitched his last hitch

HitchBot traveled all the way from Canada safely. From Massachusetts to Pennsylvania, he found friends willing to help him on his journey... then, he arrived in Philly. Shame on you, fellow Philadelphians - he was just an innocent robot, trying to see the world.

Sorry I missed this one - what a sad story. He's not the first robo-martyr and certainly wont be the last. I wonder if he will be commemerated/celebrated by A.I. citizens of the future.

i never had the chance to meet the little guy :( i feel so empty inside :( he never hurt a soul :( the lesson seems loud and clear ... and the reason why hitch hiking in the US has disappeared ... RIP little Botnik

So sad... Now there is a robot they are calling "Pope-Bot" traveling around the city. We can practice our hospitality on him so when the pope is here next month, we'll be ready! :)

The part of the city where he will visit will be blocked off - people had to enter a "lottery" to MAYBE get tickets for public transportation the day of the Papal Mass. I will stay home that day, but I will watch the whole event as it unfolds on TV. :) (All city schools - public and Catholic - will be off for three days for the World Meeting of Families - I have friends who will be at these events.)

My Dad and Mum went to see Pope Pius the 3rd ... I am rooted in Irish Catholicism and even tho very young I remember him .. my parents were probably miles away .. but they were there!!! :))) love you Rita girl! :)
