I get it...
Been on both sides of it.
I guess I try to be thankful for what was and assume the situation is not about me...
It still hurts.

Where would we be without friends? A question often posed; perhaps the answer is; 'sometimes, but not always in a better place.' But how can you really ever know until it's too late.
These are heartfelt and relatable lines. Beccy.

Often, the stab in the back comes from the least unexpected source. I suppose it's the nature of the beast, (one of the many built in genetic flaws than mankind seems cursed with,) but there is no excuse really for betraying a trust. T
I maintain a very high standard when it comes to friends, for both of us. If you tell me something personal or confide in me then I'll take it too my grave, guaranteed! Even general conversation isn't necessarily for publication, and I expect nothing less than the same. It usually doesn't take long to discover where they stand, whether it's beside me or nowhere in sight. I have a few people I associate with but I have no friends. I've trusted, even against my better judgement at times, and been hurt too often. To me friends of a personal nature have turned our to be: Back Stabbers, Bludgers, Cheats, Liars, Thieves and Wife Fuckers and I'm much, much happier without them!
I'm sorry this happened to you. Sadly it happens too often.

I relate too well with this Rita, when people we think are friends hurt us or stab us at the back and we are left seeing clues that they were not good friends
