In harsh light of day

seek the stars… then in darkness

long only for dawn

In seeking, we satisfy the longing for the next moment or moments and the cycle goes on and on. That is what I get in this wonderful poem knowing the human nature...Excellent, Rita...:)...

This side of our nature keeps us moving forward, I suppose... Thank you, Sami!

Yep. You are welcome. ...:).....
As people, we are constantly restless, wishing, hoping, aren't we? The nature of the beast. So well spoken.

Around it goes... Thanks, Pryde
Seems we are never happy....we want what we can not have and when we have it, we want something else. You said it eloquently, Rita. Lydi**

:) Thank you, Lydi!
Makes me think of how we are never satisfied with what we have. Nicely done.

Don't it always seem to go, that we don't know what we've got til it's gone... Thanks, Dale!
The stars and the dawn are promises that never seem as good in fulfillment as they did in anticipation.

Is i that we are never satisfied, or is it that the extreme realities of both night and day keep us on a perpetual and cyclical run for safety to the perceived lesser of two evils? A very thought provoking Haiku, Rita!

Thank you, J.K!
Give me this, give me that but what is it that I really want; during the day we want to rest and when we rest we are ready to get going again. It's really all part of the cycle of life - day and night, night and day.
Good thoughts Rita!
