For Charlie

For Charlie

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Terror draws with darkest ink

its message lost in bloodshed

arrogance and cowardice thrive

on hate, on fear, on dread...

when the echoed tears have waned,

all bombs and bullets gone,

the boldest missile regains strength ~

the mighty pen writes on

Writing will live forever Rita - even if its lost for thousands of years like the rosetta stone or the many ancient papyrii outliving the ancient religions that have came and went - you are so wise my friend - thank you!

YVW dear scribe
:)))
I totally agree and join my voice in condemnation and abhorance to these evil and wicked acts. I feel outraged at those crimes and saddened for the innocent victims. Excellent...:).....

Thank you, Tim...
i agree with what you have said in this poem...the pen is mightier than the sword and must rally---
we must always write on, freedom to say it is essential...
and as momzilla said...a hundred pens should rise for every one broken.

what is it with these people...almost every country has bad things to say about our presidents or other leaders, they are made fun of everywhere...we don't go around committing terrorist acts on all of them...

very sad.

Sad, sick, twisted... I suppose it is fortunate that I do not understand. Thank you so much, Jacob.

Very well penned. Je suis Charlie! Let us take up a hundred pens for every one broken and tossed aside.

Thank you, Ana.
So much tragedy in this world, no how many acts of violence happen I am still surprised by the next one.
You shoot straight from the hip in this little poem.
