SnitchA Poem by Rita L. SevHe sees all...I’m moving very cautiously in each room of my home ‘cause my parents hired out a spy, A tricky, sneaky gnome
He’ll see me stealing cookies, he’ll know if I start fights ~ that smugly smirking tattletale in bright red, festive tights
My sister named him Sprinkles; she just doesn’t have a clue, too young to see the consequence of what that fink can do
Whenever there is mischief he can tell who is the cause and, according to my mother, he reports to Santa Claus!
So, at least for this month, I’ll just behave myself he’ll have no naughty news to tell, that snitch of a shelf elf! © 2014 Rita L. SevAuthor's Note
