Class, you know what time it is?

That’s right!  Another surprise quiz!

And then, you’d better write the list

Of homework sure to sprain your wrist

 

You’ll start with spelling words, and then

Read chapters eight and nine and ten;

Construct a 3D diorama ~

Presidents Washington to Obama;

Irregular verbs, you’ll conjugate

Research the chimpanzee heart rate

No time for friendly interactions

Mired deep in proper fractions

 

It makes me giddy, can’t you see,

To bask in students’ misery

Lucky for you, this load is light ~

Just wait until tomorrow night!

That gave me a chuckle...I remember that first week back in school. Boy did we hate all that homework after being so free all summer long. Always wondered if my teachers got some secret glee out of it. Ha..
