You watch the news and shake your head,

you say it’s such a shame

you make a vow to take a chance;

embracing Life, your aim

 

And last week at that funeral

your heart was filled with sorrow;

you promised all who’d listen

not to wait until tomorrow

 

So here it is, another dawn

Life’s just outside your door;

recall your pledge to seize the day ~

To retire or just get home for work. No one's ever really defined how you seize a day? Last Sunday i spent all day making different paper airplanes with my grandson and then we put on an air show for grandma. I guess I felt like I seized that day.

Far too often when one is gripped in the moment of circumstances the promises of a better time, as you indicate vow to embrace Life but far too often when the moment becomes a more distant one the promise is forgotten and life remains the same - perhaps too self centered to help, without compassion, whatever the reason the vow is forgotten. May those who remember be abundantly blessed!
