As a girl I had great objection

To my Barbie doll’s girly perfection

When it seemed very plain

That she hadn’t a brain

I ditched the whole plastic collection

The author's note is priceless...I actually wrote a poem called Ballad Of Ken a couple of years ago when I heard he was being discontinued...apparently relationships are a bad example for young girls, unlike the dimensions that would make a real woman unable to walk...great observation Rita.

Barbie was never meant to be an intellectual, or even a physical standard to reach. I never played with Barbies, but I used to love making clothes for them, and I still would if I had time.

My sister had most of the Barbies in our house, and she did have an extensive collection of clothes handmade my my mother and grandmother... That was pretty cool. :)
