This Moment

This is the last

this moment, the last of its kind

and as it disintegrates

on the breeze of “before”

bid it farewell

This is the first

       this moment making its debut

and as it unfolds

on the altar of “now”

embrace…

Indeed. And every moment is its own end... and its own beginning. Thanks for reading, M!

I like this way of thinking. Cherish each moment indeed. Hard to accomplish IRL, but a worthy thought.

My daughter graduated. I told her she will miss school. The poem is true. After we leave High School. We separate and create our own life and hard to stay in contact. Thank you for the amazing poetry for the kids.

While this is a wonderful bit of advice for graduating seniors, it is also wise for everyday life. The breeze of "before" may have messed up my hair, but what happens on the altar of "now" is most important. Both philosophical and inspirational....I liked it. Lydi**

Stunning Rita, we do tend to live in those special moments, they're what we recall when we unlock our memories.

This is beautiful... to live in the present, have found remembrance of the past, and hopeful dreams for the future is a encouraging thought for those who are embarking on a new adventure in life. You penned this perfectly... loved this.

Thank you so much, Kalypso.
I love the way this little critter unfolds. It is so eloquent, and screams "take me now"!
