Even without knowing this was about your Dad, I thought... how true it is that being with anyone we love shoves any food, good, meh, or bad, into the background. Now I know, for you, it was always a feast of love. Just beautiful!
Somehow I knew the words were for your Dad....when we lose them, nothing is ever quite the same again. Great metaphor. Any place with Dad is the best place for a meal....heavy sigh. The sentiment is rich and honest. So lovely, Rita. Lydi**

Thank you, Lydi. Yes, he seeps into my thoughts wherever I go...
The is wonderfully playful, and all though it is charming, the metaphors are great! Sweet and awesome are a difficult combo.

Now you have me thinking fondly about my granddad of times past when I was a small child. Sometimes he would visit in the morning to prepare scrambled eggs for me according to an old Northern European recipe handed down to him through the generations. His recipe was lost, but not the memory of how good those scrambled eggs tasted.

So glad this brought a fond memory... Thanks, Aethereal.
What a lovely memory to have about your father. My husband liked to go out for breakfast, but he was afraid to try anything more exotic than McDonald's...

Thank you, Marie. We had our favorite places, but my Dad was always up for an adventure, too.
