those flowers reminds us of human life...we bloom for only a short time, life is ephemeral and so precious...
we have to enjoy the beauty of it while we can.

Not familiar with a 'chofu' at all, sounds like a sneeze, bless you Rita. I digress the poem is luverly, tulips indeed aren't around long enough, such a delicate flower signifying spring, lets hope the season sticks around much longer. ;)

Pretty much like a haiku or senryu, but with 5-2-7-5-2-7 pattern. It's still a bit chilly here to feel completely spring-like, but the tulips are a good sign!
