Too Short

Time is too short

not to have a few vices

too short not to take a few chances

We’re not around long enough

to say no to love,

to sit out on all of Life’s dances

 

You’ll regret all the times

you don’t speak your mind,

each time you stay down from a fall

Life’s just too short

not to laugh every day

so embrace the mystique of it all

You speak my language with crystal clarity my friend...if these aren't words to live by, then there aren't any words to live by. Not much else I can say really, it's all in the poem. Regret is like a virus...I'm not sure we ever conquer it once it has manifested in our psyche. Your words bring 'carpe diem' to a whole new level...well done Rita :)
