Spring Formal

Spring Formal

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

*

"
Errant rays roam,
seeking comrades among
the winter-weary flora

blades of grass
try on their green
for size

and even wallflowers dare
to step onto the floor,
reaching for a partner

Thus begins
the Springtime waltz

Thanks, Blue! Wallflowers are pretty too - they just don't know it... ;)

Same here I may mow this week.
What a wonderful metaphor and you carried it through all your stanzas. I hope Springtime dances in your neck of the woods right through the next three months! Lovely poetry, Rita. Lydi**

Thanks, Shaquana - I am eager for all the spring colors to bloom!
I can only imagine the beauty of your city and country side once it is spring. Here in Alabama, Miss, TN it is sooo beautiful and wonderfully blooming with all kinds of flora. I live in the woods on a beautiful lake and I can't describe its beauty justly. A wonderful write...:)..................
