Gravity

A poem fell

in the world today,

       it didn’t make a sound

 

Its gentle wisdom

touched no one,

       for no one was around

 

Its imagery and metaphor,

its meter and its tone ~

       they lifted no one’s spirit,

       for that poem was alone

 

When an earnest lyric echoes ~

into the blankness calls ~

gravity gains victory

       each time a poem falls.

This is profoundly deep. Is it about a piece that did not measure up ? or something that fall into a category of mediocre ? You really have some edge on this one Ms Rita... its really sharp and it cuts deep, deep down into my conscious and subconscious mind. Your compositions has become very enigmatic .
