I'm not sure I could agree completely...
Erosion can polish a gem stone. It can clean the mud and clay from the granite face of the Yosemite valley.
Maybe erosion just is... like gravity and time, relative to the object of the given circumstance...
Human nature... well, that might be another topic all together. ;)
