Grandma's Testimony

Grandma's Testimony

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Jumped on Frieda's Fairy Tale train...

"

I was waiting for my granddaughter

To bring me by some goodies;

She fills my home with sunny cheer,

Dressed in her crimson hoodie

When my front door flew open

My heart was filled with dread;

A horrid brute was standing there,

And not my precious Red!

You may have heard he did me in;

Well that just isn’t true

I grabbed my knitting needles

And I skewered him right through

Never underestimate

A Granny when she’s mad;

Speak not of “little, frail and old” ~

Who’s really big and bad?

*Alternately, she was to "Grab her ax and chop him up, and make her famous stew"... ;p

Lmao.....outstanding fractured fairy tale Rita!!! Love it! Personally I like the axe alternative...I guess either way she served him some much due comeuppance. ;-)

Loved this write but I have to say I am a fan of the alternate ending, but maybe I am just hungry.
