Age has its benefits... as does over 20 years as an English teacher.. LOL! :)
This makes me remember of one of my fave songs, "When You Believe" by Mariah Carey.
"Who knows what miracles you can achieve, when you believe, somehow you will...you will when you believe..."
Nice poem in its conciseness and a sort of reflection. Thanks for the share, Rita.
loved this piece....just like nature, simple, yet beautiful...sometimes when my busy mind rests for a few seconds, I see nature and do marvel at how amazing it all is.....I think all of us could learn a lesson from this, slow down our pace a little, and reflect on what nature provides us with.....
I liked the line "The fruit is quenched and sated".......

Like this. This has a thoughtful, original content, that stays on the subject and has thematic and metaphorical strength, almost haiku or tanka like in its brevity. A quality poem.

Thank you, Anand! That's the goal, to make another happy!
From God's miracle of creation to the miracle of the fruit of the vine. How wonderful. I love the way you associated it with even the rain he gives us.

Everything is part of everything else... a grand miracle in itself! Thank you so much, Sue!
Nice!
Linking wine to nature and Christ the Creator through His first miracle.
Great little blessing here.
