The poem speaks so well of the frenzy and excitement of the Christmas Season. Christmas has a way of making everyone buzz with anticipation, even for those like me who had a very quiet and low Christmas this year. We can't help being touched by the spirit of joy and cheer. Much appreciated and enjoyed.
Wishing you a lovely New Year, calm and peaceful, just you desire!

Ha Ha Ha, but you have such a huge smile in all your pic's. So the most important thing about all your chaos, is you love it. And that my dear is, priceless. Merry Christmas thanks for sharing some fun.

Yay Rita! Loved this witty yet sincere poem. I hope Mr Thomas Urkey is thawing out already like mines in the cats bed by the radiator. Cats not too fond of his strange bedfellow - but that's karma - he brings me stuff that I don't want.
and now, every student is hyper...but hyper-vigilant...as well as the teachers...
why does school have to feel like such a dangerous place?
I really like the picture...looks like a swell group of teachers...and such....

Our school is small and tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but still, there is always that idea that something could happen anywhere these days. Yes, that pic is last year's faculty shot - we are like family. Thank you, Jacob.
A calmer New Year would be wonderful indeed. I remember what it was like being a student at this time of year. My mind was already set on sledding hills and Christmas trees. Must be quite a handful to have a classroom full of students in a state of yuletide euphoria.
I absolutely love the tone of your lines. You always bring a sense of humor and joy to your writing. The way you modeled the rhythms and rhymes in your poem after "The Night Before Christmas" is also wonderful.
Merry Christmas and have a relaxing winter break!

LOVE this one, Rita. Yes, the students are mentally unwrapping their Christmas gifts and the teachers are antsy because family is coming into town and there are so many things left undone. Of course, the holiday parties at school with sugary treats galore do nothing to help the bouncing off walls sort of atmosphere. Wonderful rhythm and rhyme. May your Christmas be just as you want it to be and may you have a peaceful Winter Break! Lydi**

But it's a happy vibe throughout the school (as our faces show in this faculty pic - the guy on the floor in the center is our "Ugly Sweater" sponsor!) :) Thank you, Lydi! So far, the break has been hectic with preparations, but I know it will be over in a blink...
Rita, that is a great looking and festive group ofu people with the prettiest one front row, second from the right. Cant see any frazzles at all. Merry Christmas my friend. Enjoy your break.
