Wow ... Ms Rita this is something quite unique. When I read this piece. It reminds me of the song that was very personal and very memorable to me. The title of the song was " The Last Leaf " by Cascades . Another beautiful signature of yours again . Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much, Neil. I am glad this piece touched you.
What a beautifully written poem this is, Rita! I could almost hear the leaves falling and their anthem was a melodious one! Your rhyming is flawless and the message of making sure to notice the simple beauty all around us is a strong one. Such gorgeous imagery. I liked this font too...elegant. Lydi**

Thank you, Lydi! I am always reluctant to use 'fancy' fonts, but this one called for it.
This was truly lovely. Simple, quiet, delicate, and yet the impact was truly strong in terms of the idea that we so often overlook the little things; and the little things are often the most beautiful. You've painted a picture here, and I loved gazing into it.

Thank you for such a kind review, Sarah. The little things are the best teachers, I find...
Fall is the best time of year. I love crunching into a big pile of leaves. The rhyme and flow of this piece is so easy to read, Rita. You created a poem that celebrates this dying time in a reverential way. This land is tucking itself in to rest up for the bursting-blooming the spring brings. Really nicely done! Angi~

Yes, it is all necessary, even the death of Fall - and is to be respected...
So now before my Fall I'll sing the anthem of the leaf...
Perfect...this is one song I could never grow tired of. Even though it speaks of a brief existence, it is a song that dances and vibrates with life, and the thrill of living for the moment. And of course it warms my Canadian heart to read such a touching ode to the leaf ;) I wish I could write something this uplifting. Lovely work Rita.
