GuardianA Poem by Rita L. SevLook...Morning clouds hover weighing on my mind and then a sunray spills upon my shade Protesting the glare, I move on through the
day feeling my heart’s burdening pervade Walking darkened
paths the ends become
obscure sudden breaths of wind caress my cheek I brush away the kisses, head bent against the
gloom intent on falling deeper in the bleak Then in the blackest
moment, the grimmest point of
night a winking in the heavens grabs my eye I gaze at this bright
vision, the tides within me
turn I hear redemption beckon from on high The steadfast loving hand that reaches for the soul wears no feathered wings for ready flight Our angels are more
subtle, only seen through
eyes of faith ~ they’re in the sun ~ the wind ~ and in the starlight.
