Spectral Plane

When time to board the spectral plane,

No need for boarding pass

Don’t fret that you’ll be crammed in coach;

This time you’ll go first class

Best of all, no baggage ~

You leave it all behind

And the film that they’ll be showing

Is your life ~

“Best of” rewind.

The pilot knows the heavens well,

The journey will be swift

The love and prayers back on the ground

Give spirits proper lift

I like it. What a benign and peaceful picture. I far prefer it to one of a punitive god looking to micro-manage my sins based on maxims and dogma I have never understood. It's a really good thing Jesus came along to make that whole scene more appealing. Yep, I am going to accept your poem as the way to go.

I'm not entirely sure what a spectral plane is but I interpret it to mean not of this world. In any case, the first line kicks off a clever play on words. I like the image of the love and prayers from the ground. Great, uplifting poem.
