this reminds me of the poem "mind" by richard wilbur, i believe.
the mind is likened to a bat in a cave, flitting and soaring all over the place...but finding that a graceful error may correct the cave...
we are safe when we let our minds do this..we will not, as he says, conclude against a wall of stone.

And it is unconfined thoughts that bounce around from the left, right parts of our mind and sometimes even settle in the middle! I seem to stay mainly in the "Applachian South" side of it!....lol
