The fanciful imagery of a calendar's pages talking to one another bade me smile with joy!
You've taken a very creative way of saying, "So long!" to one month and, "Hello!" to the next.
I love it, but on a technical level, every line beginning ungrammatically with a cap makes it visually heavy for me, and incomplete punctuation lends an unfinished feel … try a size smaller font, as it seems to be "SHOUTING!"
One of the calendar’s members
said, “Hey, it’s my turn now, remember?”
Of course, she was right;
so, August took flight,
and now we must welcome September!
Thanks again for such a happy little treat from your skillful pen … love the mono-rhymes, too! ⁓ Richard : )
Ah, the bittersweet September. As a kid I would always look forward to my September birthday, but be sad to see summer end and school begin. Now, as a teacher, I still have a little sadness for the end of summer, and a lot of excitement for a new beginning. (As I get older, the birthday part, I tend to want to forget. :)

too cute.
I love September. If I could choose a lover and she must be a month of the year, it would be September... for many reasons... Oh well, I had to go there. ha.
Thank you for welcoming this perfect month!
