Dr. Shock was a magician and entertainer who hosted a horror movie show in Philadelphia from 1969 to 1979. Saturday afternoon was not complete without him.

This was fantastic. Very creative, very clever and oh so true. I always enjoy a fun and uplifting poem like this. Its refreshing and quite inspiring. Thanks for sharing, Rita.
Loved this one, Rita! I was just thinking the other day about all of the old television shows that I used to watch as a child, and how I would wake up SO early on Saturday mornings just to catch my favorite cartoons. I also remember the ice cream that we used to get from the truck that drove around our neighborhood...isn't it amazing the things that we remember? Still, what I like best about this piece is the way that you illustrate our ability to continue to make new memories. beautifully done!

So well done! Technically flawless and the subject matter... well, couldn't smile after Rock em Sock em Robots! This was a great read... thanks for laying the way to memory lane.

I could never forget it... they were a childhood favorite, before video games ruled the world! lol
Very true: life does give more than one era of "good old days." I remember most of what you name here, but hailing from England as I do, I don't recall a few of them. Nicely penned indeed. ~ Robert.

And both eras, I am sure, are equally dear to you. Thank you, Stella!
