I actually have a thing for ladies with no hair Rita - I think it came about in my *ahem* formative years when I watched the first Star Trek movie and it has stayed with me...lol
So if you dont mind...(fetches shears)
I fully support your thoughts on looking for the beauty within though.

A ladies hair is beautiful no matter what shade, even grey ! Nice poem with a strong moral theme, outside beauty is just skin deep more interesting is what lies within!

And the curly-headed torture their hair with straighteners...
A poem full of wisdom and what is the most important things as far as beauty or hair color of a woman. What defines each one and how that relates to their priorities in life...Splendid...:)

Well said, Sami - I guess I have long outgrown my hair color being a priority... :) Thanks!
This is splendid. Not only for what you have to say, but for its clever construction that concludes with a limerick-like last stanza. I've always been grateful that, as a male, I never had to devote so much time and effort to my hair as women do. But then women don't have the tedious task of shaving every day, so I suppose it's a trade off.

Thank you for your kind support, Rich!
What matters is actually inside our head not outside. That is where the glory lies and should have been the actual crowning glory not our hair.
A nice theme to write on. An interesting read
You have a real talent for comic verse, Rita. This one made me smile very broadly. Your poetry flowed so smoothly and the rhyme did not feel forced at all. I enjoyed this a lot.

Thank you so much, Joyce! Glad to make you smile - it's good to see you back here!
Haha ive had long hair, short hair, undercuts. Never color though. Now mine is falling out at a fast rate:(
Oh well.
A great short and to the point piece Rita. I sensed a bit of either frustration or resentment in what you have done with your hair over the years. I think what is important with these things is that we laugh at them aloud and enjoy our past:)
Great write Rita.

You are quite astute, my friend!
