Removed?? You mean permanently? OUCH! I've had several foot surgeries (one without anesthetic), so I can somewhat relate.

That has to be one of the most painful places to have surgery. I hope you're recovering well, Rita!! (Sympathy pains right here.) And you get bonus points for referencing the "Y U NO" meme. Ding ding ding!!

LOL! I have had several foot surgeries and procedures as well - gotta love that big needle in the middle of the foot for a pinched nerve! The toenail grew back - piggy is safe! :)

I had read an article that my friend posted where the author claimed we were meant to be barefoot all the time! It's difficult when you live in the city (with glass, needles, etc.), but I suppose it's possible.

Modern shoes make no accommodations for that little extra piggy. Someday our feet shall evolve to have only three toes converging to a sharp point, and our hands shall evolve to have only thumbs and and index fingers for pushing buttons.

Ouchie, that hurt, I had my toenail removed when I was a teen, my sweet brother kicked it off, long story, anyway, I remember thinking no wonder they use this tactic as torture! Ha, good one Rita.

I have Plantar fascitis and a painful bunion. I just fought a Plantar's wart and won! I understand about feet. Unfortunately. When your feet hurt, it is hard to stand tall.

So true - had the bunion surgery on both feet in my 20s... it's been fun with my feet ever since! But, of all genetic problems I could have inherited, I'll take this one...
