Oh Rita, that first stanza rocked me. The books, notes, seeds of ideas, the (Pink!) coffer waiting on gems (I wait too!) along with your mocking legal pads all paint this room for me. A room of loss, a room of found strength, a room for learning and a room for life. There is hardly hot air in there, girl! Your words flit and float all over that welcoming place. Loved it! Angi~

This is certainly out of my "comfort zone"! :) Yes, my computer is pink ;) It's so easy for empty rooms in a house to become dead space or junk collectors. I couldn't let that happen...
I love poetry that can mix personal tendencies and universal connotations, which this has done splendidly...it's not easy to do, at least not for me haha If I had a dollar for every time I looked at my bookshelf and lamented the distance between what I write and what they wrote... :P

I wonder which books those authors looked at, which writers they wanted to be... Thank you, K!
A nice description, with a touch of humour, of your writing space. If our minds can be so cluttered with ideas no harm if a little bit of that reflects on the place where we write.Your writing space seems very interesting to me with its sticky notes, little scraps of paper and.......I wouldn't like a very sanitised space.
AS is always with you a very well written and intresting piece.

Thank you, Onku! Yes, cluttered, but it's cozy, and comforts my mind... ;)

And that's what matters....A cozy and comfortable place...
Wow, I'd love a space like this. Ive usually got my son hanging off my leg when im trying to write.
I enjoyed this poems direct voice, it feels like your literally showing me round. Love the little dialogues in brackets. Im sure you could be as good as your favourite writers Rita.
Good work, It was a break from the seriousness of a lot of the other work on WC, and isnt that what a writers pad is for.

Thank you, Samuel. I forget how comfortable my little space is...
Impressive style, a bit different than your other pieces, but nevertheless excellent. I really like your description and the ending is magnificent. Ideas full of hot air.

Thank you, Dan. I don't do much free verse, but I like a challenge... :)
Ahaha! The writer's pad...seems familiar to me as I look around mine. Lol.
You're a brilliant one, Rita. This one is an evidence. And since it's a challenge from Angi, and it rocks her...I can say nothing but....you're AMAZING.
Alucinante!

loved your view of your room! you've painted such a full picture, it's clutter of the best sort. the clutter of a mind preoccupied with grander things, a comfortable clutter in an easy going space full of promise and warmth. i'm just so glad you shared it with us!
I relate with this poem Rita, I write when am totally not thinking about writing, just out of the blue, i pick up my pen and paper and write, it just flows. Well written piece
