Stellar Explorations

Stellar Explorations

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

You know what they say about the unexamined life...

"

The universe within me

is largely unexplored

I’ve concocted constellations

that have somehow gone ignored

The time is ripe to launch a quest

to stars among my visions

where heart and soul and dreams combine;

the best of all collisions

Return to Earth, now satisfied,

my inner world complete,

fortunate to find the ground

firmly at my feet

Thank you, Moon!
I think we poets always have our thoughts in the celestial heavens...but nothing wrong with that as there is so much beauty right here too on earth that we admire...nicely done Rita:)

Thank you, Rose!
The previous reviewers have just about said it all. This is expertly constructed, thought-provoking, and has a rhythmic flow. Excellent.

Thank you so much, Rich! Glad you enjoyed.
Short, sweet and emphatically to the point. The last stanza is my favorite one out of the three. A riveting write and read. Great work. :)

...its not worth living. I think you do a nice job of bringing us seemingly into that expansive internal journey. I like the idea of the cosmic images and finding the best of all collisions. I get a real sense here of searching for the infinite and of brightly colored stars. Then you bring us back to earth to ponder what has been seen and discovered until next time. I liked that quite a bit.
