You know what they say about the unexamined life...

The universe within me

is largely unexplored

I’ve concocted constellations

that have somehow gone ignored

 

The time is ripe to launch a quest

to stars among my visions

where heart and soul and dreams combine;

the best of all collisions

 

Return to Earth, now satisfied,

my inner world complete,

fortunate to find the ground

firmly at my feet

A beautiful write about the universe within you. Skillfully crafted free style metered rhyme which I enjoy. Imagery is good as are the descriptives. You paint a vivid picture of how you see your inner self that any reader can appreciate. Flow is good; line to line transition and breaks are well done. Very nice rhythm. Nice use of enjambment. Rhyme is good as is the rhyme scheme. A good mix of feminine and masculine end line rhyme that is executed very well in this piece. Lovely depth of feeling. I can relate. Good word choice. Excellent closing lines. Well penned and a much enjoyed read. Write on!

I've wanted to check out some of your work for a while as we seem to have many of the same friends...there is no better metaphor than space when it comes to seeking out and finding one's self...I love the idea of concocting constellations in a universe that is largely unexplored...we'll never find the ends of the universe unless we're willing to test the limits of our own resources...great work :)
