Revival

Revival

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Happy first day of Summer!

"

Senses overwhelmed

by this day that’s never been;

Embrace it in this moment,

and pray to meet its twin

No gloom of cloud prevails

upon the azured skies,

the birdsong a cacophony;

avian allies

From Heaven’s vault, a lemon burst

of joy on face and fields

while lime flavors each blade of grass,

the kiss of Life revealed

Blinded by the rapture of

this estival arrival

miraculous, the healing touch ~

June’s spiritual revival

I think we have to sing, too. Let's have a trio. Lol. Every morning is a time to celebrate.

Agreed! I am smiling here, because I am truly a morning person! :)
The revival of the spirit is often given from the energy in nature.
I like the poem Rita. The flow of the read was consistent and the feeling I got was of a true heartfelt revival.
Funny thing here is I think you could actually reverse the thought and speak about how a true spiritual revival changes a person. I can see the beauty of summer and also the face of a girl named June.
Well conceived and conveyed.
