King Charming

My handsome prince once moved with ease

Now his legs ache from feet to knees

His boyish grin, still so endearing,

Though he’s lost a bit of hearing

That touch of silver in his hair;

I don’t recall that being there

Once majestic in my eyes

His royal title realized

Stood so regal in his youth,

Now we’re both prolonged in tooth

A prince no more, the crown I bring

Is for my sweet and Charming King

Beautifully written! This was fantastic...conjours images of the Lord of the Rings movie (I believe Two Towers), when Elrond is telling Arwen that her love with age and eventually die, but she will remain ageless. I realize you are speaking of the two of you growing old together, but it still brought up this image for me. I like the form, it was well done in all ways!
