and lace formed lovingly by
deft maternal fingers And
even after all these years The
memory still lingers Preserved
it is, inside a box; Occasionally
I peek When
that day seems far away And
its nostalgia I seek That
gown I’ll never wear again A
young bride’s homespun glory Carries
in its fabric My
