Neighborhood Walk

Neighborhood Walk

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Took a stroll this evening

"

Red brick, row after row

Work-weary residents nod hello

Tomorrow’s trash lines the curb

A sight not seen in a posh suburb

A neighbor absorbed by a Septa bus

But all I see, hand in hand, is us.

only have eyes for each other as the mundane world goes by, and so it should be... just lovely.

Cute. I don't care for love poetry, but this one I like.

Thanks, Marie. This is more of a "home" poem - light on the "love" ;)
Love this little piece! Even when things around us aren't too pretty, if you're lucky, there's always someone else to admire :)
