First, take cloves of garlic Palm flat, give ‘em a crush In olive oil, a slow sauté; With garlic, never rush
Now add a cup of gravy ~ Yeah, that’s what I said; AKA marinara, Rich, tomato red
Coupla cans of tomatoes Can be crushed or diced The broth is coming together, Add some parsley chopped up nice
Simmer away for just a bit, It’s time to put in beans Cannellini are what you want Add plenty, by all means
You’ll need to choose a pasta, Boiled in a separate pot; Ditalini will work well, Linguini will definitely not
Cut a loaf of crusty bread Dip the Pope’s nose to test It’s coming together nicely, I’m sure you know the rest
Combine the pasta and the broth Pour Chianti (NOT Chardonnay) Now fill your bowl and grab a spoon ~ Enjoy! Mangiare bene! © 2013 Rita L. SevAuthor's Note
