Wednesday at the Diner

Wednesday at the Diner

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Let's go out tonight...

"

“It’s been a long half-week, my dear,

Let’s get a hump-day treat.”

So we headed to the diner

To get a bite to eat.

We talked and ate and laughed with ease

Sharing ‘My day was…’ narration

And laughed together when a guy outside

Practiced nasal excavation

And as we savored diner pie,

Cherry crumb and banana cream,

I thought about how simple it is

To realize Life’s supreme.

Thanks, Miss Manal! :)
Anytime that you can work in the words "nasal excavation" into a poem is pure genius and comical!!

Lol! If that's true, my genius knows no bounds! Haha! Thanks!
Time to stop and smell the roses or watch gross guys pick their noses... Ha! Either way, it's the laughs and contentment that matter in the big scheme of things! Angi~

i really like this too...observations of the little things in life that can be such enjoyment...we too often overlook what matters more than we imagine.
