Make No Apologies

Make No Apologies

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word. - Margaret Atwood

"

Make no apologies for writing what you feel,

                                                  what you wish

                                                  what you know

Don’t fret over technical critiques

Write from your heart

          from your soul

          from your depths

It’s not a report card you seek

Writing  has power to cleanse

                                 to heal

                                 to renew

Revel in the joy that it gives

Just pour out your thoughts

                      your rhymes

                      your prose

It’s how a writer lives

Good! Keep writing. Thank you!
Amen, Sister! I have only been here a short time, but have seen people who only want reviews to improve their rating. That is sad.

A well versed noble logic and advise to all writers. I like the format too, eye catching one. Awesome.

I know the format is a free verse but it has this kind of ending message that nailed to readers.
The Margaret Atwood quote set the tone for such a delightful piece.
"Write from your heart
from your soul
from your depths"
Your words have brought your light to me and to my depths; I enjoyed this piece immensely.
